Waht is your favourite colour and why?

Mine: Green --- I just love the feel of the colour, and I feel more comfortable when there is a lot of green around me. I also really like blue, but not like green, and I am find blue makes me feel more mellow.

I can never decide between blue, orange, and red.

Oh and green too, I like green.

And black of course.

Yeah. I'm not very good at this question

When I was a kid, green used to be my favorite color... but now it's more like blues, purples, pinks... and I don't like yellow or orange.

Purple. Always favored 'cool' colors.

green and light blue are comfort or safe colours to me. colours like red, purple or navy blue are danger colours. orange and pink are in between.
i'm sure this only makes sense to me. i can see colours through touch.

Green, of course.
Photosynthesis. 8)

I've always been attracted by deep greens and browns. Earth colors. They comfort me and make me feel at home.

When I was younger I liked orange, green, and purple- but not so much as colors but more as flavors of things. Blue has been my favorite for some time, most likely because it reminds me of the ocean.

i do not have one. I work with colour every day. and a colour - any colour - changes considerably depending on its chromatic context.

When I was a kid, gray was my favorite color. Now, green is my favorite, especially the shade found on army uniforms, which I like to call "military green". When I first used the term, I was pleasantly surprised that people didn't think it was stupid or weird.

My favorite color is "multi"

Why? Because even the most beautiful shade of coral pink or aqua or lavendar
would become unbearable if it were the only color around. I've seen a little girl's
bedroom decorated in a lovely shade of powder pink, but it was on the walls,
the ceiling, covering the bed, the major part of the pattern in the carpet. The
knick knack kitty cats on the dresser. EVERYTHING was pink. Just about made me sick.

Yet if that same shade of powder pink were used to paint one delicate spray of flowers
in a picture filled with different shades of green and blue, I would think it a lovely color.

My top four (in no order) are red, green, purple, and black.
I'm also fond of gray/grey, milky-opalescent, and rainbow (yes I know rainbow isn't a color, but...).
I like most dark and/or "cool" colors.
Hate/dislike most bright/neon colors.
Pink is evil. I only like one shade of pink, which I've always called "dusty-rose", but wiki says it's called Light Thulian Pink... I like my name for it better.

Red.

It has a calming effect on me. And I see better in red light.

I also love neon (or what are sometimes called day-glo) colours, especially green and yellow and orange. But that's because I was born in the 70's and it's like those colours were invented or discovered in the 80's. It was something new that my eyes couldn't quite understand. How could these colours exist, how could I have never seen them before?

Turquoise.

Orange, sometimes.

I don't know why, they just are.

Orange, I don't know why but it's just nice to me. :)

A lot of people thought it would be yellow, can anybody guess why? :P

my liking of colours stems from the flavours of lollies i ate as a small child.

let us use jelly beans as an example.
i will state from worst to best colors.

i hated the black ones worst of all (aniseed). i always gave those to my friends.
next, i disliked the green ones because they tasted like a minty limey flavour which i do not genetically favour. they made me squint when i ate them.

then the next worst were the yellow ones. they had a cheap pineapple taste that was not very nice. i avoided eating them if i could.

then the red ones were ok. they tasted a bit sickly though. they had a perfumey smelling raspberry taste that was also cheap.

the white ones were better because they were lemonade flavour which is easy to create. they did not taste cheap.

then the blue ones tasted quite nice and tangy like real berries. i saved them until almost last, as they were my second favourite.

but the best ones were the purple ones and they had a very nice blackcurrant taste.

so my favourite color is dark reddish purple (like claret color) (not bluish purple, but reddish purple).

turquoise is my second favourite color.

i also like lilac.

i would not decorate my house in these colors however.
my favourite colors to live in are mild apricot to peach colored walls, with mild steely light bluish grey skirtings and cornices.
mmm i like that decor combination.
and dull lighting.
