I have had some strange occurences in my life. I won't go into the details. But it has crossed my mind that I might be possessed. It is like I don't have control over my mind.

Am I alone?

These things need to be taken seriously. I avoid Ouija boards, fortune telling, palm reading, horoscopes, etc. I believe if you call a demon it will come.

That is pretty serious. If you really feel concerned maybe you should try praying aloud for it to go away, and maybe even some holy water for cleansing. I've seen them do this in episodes of Paranormal State.

Well, not exactly. JWRed, would you like to PM me and discuss this? Feel free.

True, "demons" are complete fiction... daemons however, are a completely different story.

Daemons are real, but demons aren't. Are they not essentially the same thing, or is there a tiny semantic variance to be flogged and exploited here? Daemon and demon are alternate spellings of the same root word.

You know, there have been documented exorcisms.

I was not serious. But I do believe daemons (both good and bad) to be real.

I have felt I have had this dark side, I have imbraced it at times and felt like I have become corupted. One thing I have told myself is that I control it, near the begining I had total personality changes. But more I use it, the more I feel like I am becoming like it.

Would you even be conscious of a demon possessing you? They kind of override the human psyche and project through the person like a puppeteer with a puppet.

That depends on how you look at (or define) "demon"

A demon like in The Exorcist. A real nasty one.

My best friend has this problem.

It was diagnosed as schizophrenia.

He's a lot better now but still hears demons. He's still convinced that this is his problem. He could be right, but the schizophrenia medication at least reduced his issues.

I've thought about it before and have asked my parents. Both of them say that it's impossible for me to be possessed, because I have the Holy Spirit inside of me and an evil spirit can't reside with the good one.

Does your body ache after a 'possession'? Give us the gory details JWRed, it's a bit hard to comment on the little you say. Most people don't have control over their own minds/thoughts.
