I'm just kidding.

I think I figured out why so many arguments occur here and why people keep pissing each other off.
It seems like people will post something only if they find something that they disagree with.
If a person agrees with a statement, it gets left alone. So, we mostly get negative feedback.
Maybe we should start giving more positive support to mitigate all the negativity here.

Why do so many of us do that? Maybe we find faults or weak spots because we search them out like system busters.

nice ideation.
however as much as i dont want to sound antagonistic, it is a little naieve.

there was once a newspaper that decided to print only "good news" stories.
it went out of business within weeks.

you will find a lot of AS debate topics as they enjoy the debate with like minded uber smart individuals.
others get snagged on the smallest detail and will react in an unmodulated fashion.

it is a feature of AS to diasagree
with what is seen as normal or usual.

the debates, fights and arguments are all necessary to learn from.
even the protagonists realise, eventually there is a better way to approach a topic, and what they learn here they can repeat in real life.

if you want positive feedback talk to your mother, if you want the real deal. come here.
It is an As feature to tell you how it is, but the delivery doesnt penetrate often because it is too blunt.

but the point of your post was to comment on your observations which are valid for you, i have a different view and do not mean to offend you.

Well more positive feedback would be nice, but I know that I love to argue about things, plus I feel that I often find it hard to give people praises. I just think it will make people think that I am trying to pretend and I dont want people think about me like that. I have found one of my favirout things have been the having arguments in the religeon threads as people have some strong feelings about the beliefs. But I am worried sometimes that I have made enimies.

I think it's simpler than that; I think there are so many arguments here because it's an internet forum. Most forums I've been on are full of arguments.

I feel that it is ok to disagree with people, but I have been flamed on here lately.

Good thread imo.

I must admit I was drawn like a fly to a possible troll thread, and that exactly proved your point. Hats off to you.

nothing wrong with a good constructive discussion. there's a lot less verbal violence on this forum than on all the others I reckon.
