yeah, bloody freudians. :x

doesn't seem as though he had a problem with his mother to me - murdered her, stuffed her, shoved her in the cellar - no problem.

perhaps i need to reconsider the way "problem" is used here... :?

Read happeh's site. Not only will any thought cease, it may never infact grace your mind again.

Hmm, nope... But I have thought "God that was a terrible movie" before.

GA prepares for critical onslaught...

I can't believe people thought that was such a scary movie back then. Riding the bus in my town scares me way more than the shower scene.

I did a Media Class in yr11, and we watched Psycho and Rear Window.

I was bored by Psycho, it was very dull, and only interesting for technical reasons (camera angles, shots etc)

Rear Window on the other hand was very suspensful, and quite enjoyable.

Yes I agree GA, I had a friend who loved Psycho and actually had the three sequels whereas I thought it was a bit ordinary. That said, this was before the slashers got really started, so I suppose back then, this is what a psychopath was to most audiences. I think its no coincidence it was in black and white, it becomes a graphic horror. Just an interesting side note, was reading up on Saul Bass, probably the best intro credit titles man ever, and the battle to claim directorship of the shower scene, because he did all the storyboarding of the 92 shots for hitchcock. It was quite interesting.

Also, I watch Read Window the other day (for obvious reasons) and it still is my favourite, up there with North By Northwest, I love the voyeurism of it and considering it was set in the one room with a whole bunch of neighbourly windows to view, it was technically brilliant how they kept up the suspense (alot was also due to the tight screenplay).

What was the obvious reason?

Sorry about the typo.

The reason I watched it was because I was stuck inside with my sprained ankle up resting on a pillow and I thought I had many similarities to L.B.Jefferies in particular.
