I thought maybe this would be best posted here if you look at the thread subject

Worrying a lot... over silly little trivial things? I was bad for it up until recently (well within the last week or so), it'd always be trivial little things, not things that one would usually worry about....... needless to say I don't worry as much as I used to, what is the point?

So, I was wondering, do others on the spectrum do this? and is it a common thing for those on the spectrum?

Discuss :)

I've worried about things I mail out not getting to them such as my rent check.

I think yes, this is perfectly normal for people on the spectrum. People on the spectrum are hyper-sensitive, so for us things can tend to seem like life or death when they're not. I used to worry a lot all the time over small things. Now I feel like I under-worry.

I'm definatly a worry-er.
It'd usally when I go to people houses I always worry that I've got the wrong day or wrong time or whether they're still expecting me there or if it's not a sleepover after-all and I shouldn't have brought my bag etc...

Worrying is the one thing I do so effortlessly.

Yea all the time. Like I'll get a call about something stupid like hey wayne you need to come into work dude called out. And I'm like I'm busy. And then hang up and will be worried till the next day she will be mad at me. Happens for everything though! It like lingers in my heart... It feels weird.

I live in a state of high anxiety. I think that's one of the central symptoms.

I tend to worry about small things, mainly in regard to school, despite the fact that I know that even if what I'm worrying about(i.e my homework was done wrong), the consequences for it being wrong are small.

I used to worry all the time, now not so much. But I still do imagine the outcomes of possible decisions, which usually are negative. I need to stop doing that.

yeah, my brain tends to jump to the worst possible conclusion and sometimes it takes me a while to work my way back from "end of the worldness"

Thanks for the replies so far.... glad to know I was never alone in the excessive worrying thing

One thing I have also learned from learning to not worry so much is that why let things go on and on? what is the point?

I worry about everything; school, work, my health. It's ridiculous but it's just feelings I can't nag off.

I worry too much about things I shouldn't & don't worry enough about the things I should.
