When I was in NC, I was dropped from Developmental Disability services when they realized I wasn't diagnosed with AS before I was 21. I explained to them that AS has only been in the diagnostic manual since 1994 and it didn't matter.

Here in Oregon, you can get DD services for Asperger's if your functioning level is like someone with an IQ of 70, or borderline ret*d. My IQ is kind of high (Verbal IQ 131, Performance IQ 100), so I'm hoping I still qualify. After all, I do function in life significantly below average.

An assessor is coming out today at 3:00 to talk to me and I'm nervous.

I don't know, maybe it's better that you ARE nervous, that would be part of the functioning thing right?
