You know the neighbor.

the guy who has christmas lights every year.

because he never freakin takes em down.

The guy on my street (me) has a Homer Simpson display this year.

All the lights but only one is functional.

Blink
Blink
Blink, Blink
Blink
Blink, Blink, Blink
...
Blink!

What i want to know, is whose Avatar is still going to be still sporting the Santa Cap in May.

Certainly not Neuroman, he changes his too often.

Thwomp.

Neuroman is guilty of having christmas lights up until April. He's had a tree up until March one year. He thinks holiday lights are one of the few things in life that should blink. The avatar changes because he has multiple personalities.

At least they don't blink.

Some just leave the decorations up all year long.

You've seen these lights? I had to watch in bits at first, then after a while I turned on the music, now I just stare and my eyes glaze. 8O I love watching it and listening to the music.

This is from wikipedia about the guy that put the show together. Would love to see 2005 version.

I have so few holiday decorations that I just leave mine up all year round. I still have my light-up pumpkin on which I've now placed a Santa cap.

I can't have a tree unfortunately with my cats. I've tried that before. Somebody inevitably topples the tree in the wee hours of the morning with a lovely resounding
*THUD* and all the little tinklings of the ornaments shifting and rolling. :?

But I plan on removing my Xmas Bean after New Years and going back to the regular non-adorned Bean.

I thought leaving the lights up was a Texas/Redneck thing.

i.e.: You might live in Texas if your kids trip over the Christmas lights during their Easter egg hunt.

I heard that in some towns, leaving one's lights up past a certain point in the year after Christmas is against the law.

There was some court battle over that or something...

Well, I'm not in Texas, but the end of days has arrived.

Today, 24th December, heading to buy my Christmas reading, I saw two children in the street...

...eating chocolate eggs.

Didn't realize this thread was more in reference to outdoor displays. I keep indoor xmas lights up ALL YEAR because they make me extremely happy. Dislike holidays & am not "into" most decorations. Partial to silver tinsel, maroon ribbons, & cobalt blue metallic ornaments-but I don't bother, not worth hassle. Live in an apartment, don't decorate outside of house anyway.
