Here she is in 2006.

I daresay she can hold her own.

But Dawkins is pretty gentle and much more moderate than he is sometimes portrayed. The media likes to put a controversial spin on his words. It would be very frustrating to be a man who cares about precision and the subtle distinctions between various words, and yet contantly have one's ideas twisted by others into something more inflammatory. I suppose that happens to anybody in the spotlight, but it must be especially agonizing when the subject matter is something scholarly in nature.

Stealth operations moving along swimmingly, Patrician?

I'm considering a possible successor to the current Ankh-Morpork Tax Collector......

Current one in line for a good mugging?

(As myself)

Yes, I daresay Lalla Ward could hold her own. After all, she was married to Tom Baker for about 18 months.

(As Lord Vetinari)

No. I need someone who could make people want to pay their taxes. Like Moist von Lipwig made people want to use the Post Office again, or use banknotes.....

Well, supposedly they divorced because they were more passionate about their respective careers than about each other. But he was a very heavy drinker.

At the time. I think he's cleaned up his act a little, especially after marrying Sue Jerrard, who was an assistant editor on Who. They've been married for over 20 years now, so I guess third time's the charm (his first wife was not Lalla Ward, but Anna Wheatcroft, niece of a famous rose grower. That lasted 5 years and produced 2 sons).

I wonder what would happen if someone did.

Hmm....a potential replacement for expensive lettuce.
