I can only lob things underhand. I never was able to learn how to flick my wrist for a proper overhand throw. and I never could make a basket despite my height.

After 4 years of basketball training, I manged to have at least normal skills to throw and aim balls. When it comes to catching, then it works well with basketballs, but while other balls have improved a bit, its still below average standard. ^^

I don't have the fine motor skills to throw a ball properly, but did well in shot putting in school.

Yes.

In elementary school I dominated the track and field softball throw event. My brother and I stopped by to watch a practice after school one day and laughed at how poorly others threw. The teacher/coach figured he'd invite us to give it a try and show others how it was done then.. assuming neither one of us would do any better and it would shut is up from laughing at others. So we both agreed to give it a try and completely smoked everyone else. That got me an invite to participate, so, I did.

I also played fastball (fast pitch softball) for 3 years as teenager. I played centre field. Sometimes my aim was off, but I could throw people out at home plate from centre field and did so a few times. I had a bit of a sidearm throw, but I could certainly throw.

Only played basketball in grade 7, wasn't all that good at it and didn't really care for it. Never really played football or other ball sports, but I can at least throw a football.

I have never been good at throwing any type of object; I am even worse at catching things thrown in my direction.

But... then I have never practiced throwing or catching either, so I don't know if it is an innate thing or just lack of training and development.

Football? No. Never learned how to spiral the thing. I learned how to throw a baseball correctly last year at the age of 33 when I assisted coaching my son's little league.

Not with any sort of power or accuracy, but yes I can. I can even do a decent overarm throw.

I've never had problems throwing. I played baseball and softball from the time I was little until I graduated high school.

I can be clumsy and trip or run into anything.

I can actually play basketball and other sports like that which require throwing stuff, since I've trained myself to do it properly. But when it comes to sports which I have to put a lot of effort to throw the ball or when I need to kick it then, well, I can say that I have witnessed the balls going backwards instead of where they were supposed go.

Can I throw a ball? Of course! What a silly question.

Can I make it go on the intended direction? No.

Can I throw it the intended distance? No.

Can I throw it at the intended height? No.

Lol!

I can make the ball go in the direction I want it to most of the time. I'm not great on distance. Catching the ball. That's where the problem lies. Hitting a ball with a bat is kind of tricky too. I've only done that once. Then again I've only tried it once and that was only because I kept hitting the tee so the teacher had to just throw it. That was tee ball. Another type of tee I'm prone to hitting is a golf tee. Eventually I worked out the only possible way I can the ball is if I don't raise the club above my shoulder but then it doesn't go very far.

I actually played baseball when I was younger, but I didn't have a really strong arm. But I could catch anything, and hit, so I was always a first baseman. I saved the other infielders a lot of throwing errors by being able to handle a lot of bad throws.

I was pretty good at tennis, too.

As far as an American football goes, yes, I could throw a spiral, but not more than 20-30 yards.

Having big hands really helped.
