before I joined the army, I could not meet them either. but with mean-assed stentorian-voiced coarse-vocabularied drill instructors screaming in your ears from both sides to "MOVE YOUR ASS!! !" you too would soon become proficient in those exercises. I guarantee it.

I always had a bad heart. Had to have surgery in my twenties. I could never keep up. I'd try, for sure, but my breathing would be affected. Plus I'd be constantly weeping.

I'm sorry then :( Image
when I was in, if somebody wept they'd be taken away by psychiatry. no crying allowed in the mean green machine. an officer that cried in front of his men was relieved of his command in a hurry. Image

Yes, I can't imagine crying would be very good for morale.

I could never keep up physically in school. It was frustrating. Not just in sports, but in general - like walking or playing. I believe this has led me to overcompensate with stealth and observational skills. But yeah, thanks.

I couldn't keep up in school also, nobody would choose me when in PE they made us choose sides- so I usually got sent to the office to do paperwork.

Depends if you are better at push-ups or shuttle running I guess: http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/fitness/

I find the beep test/shuttle run really hard but can easily run 2 miles in a reasonable time.

lol. I was last chosen, first eliminated. And that's the way I liked it. There seemed to be an unspoken realization that I wasn't going to be of use in the play situation. And everyone respected it. :?
