Nightmare disorder, or dream anxiety disorder, is a sleep disorder characterized by frequent nightmares.
I believe that I suffer from dream anxiety disorder to extent I have heard that it is very common for people with Asperger Syndrome to have dream anxiety disorder.

Interesting. I don't have a problem now but when I was a child and also as a teen my nightmares were so frequent I became afraid to fall asleep. I barely made it through 9th grade because I was so exhausted. I'd stay up until I fell asleep about 3am from exhaustion and then get up to go to school.

I have had nightmares most of my life. Sometimes more then one on a night. I have grown used to it, I am not loosing any sleep over it. I didn't know there was a name for it. On the other hand, they have a name for everything nowadays
