Maybe this will make it stop hurting.

My love is wild
This I know
And She knows it more than I
She made and gave all these gifts to me
And to them I belong

My heart is the mountains and as strong as they
As unmoving as the highest peak
And deeper than the lowest valley
I see far and all I love
But isolation leaves me alone

My soul is the rivers and is just as they
Dangerously swift and moving
Eroding my worries like the rocks and stones
I will not stop or rest
Rushing me away, never stopping
Carrying me away from my sorrow
But still I feel cold

Of all these things She gave to me
These and many more
I cannot blame Her for keeping the one
Greatest gift of all
After all, how could one part
With an angel such as you

You were my dawn, my dusk and noon
My midnight and my twilight
You light me up when I was alone

She gave you the sky, the moon and sun
She gave you all the stars
She made you perfect and I can’t help to love
The very thought of you

One day you slipped away from her
The day that I first saw you
Like the sun you warmed my heart
Ever since I’ve lived for you
Forever still I shall
But She took you back into her arms
And never shall I have you

You I love more than all other life
I’d give myself away
If it meant I could see you again
For now I have no dusk or dawn
My night is bare of stars
She looks down with pity at me
As I yell to give you back

My heart seems colder now that I’ve seen and lost you
My soul will not move on
I’ve lived in darkness all my life
And now the hope of dawn is forever gone

But it warms me some to know you stay
Within her loving arms
I know she will brush away your tears
And keep you happy and safe
Like I would do if you were mine

But always know that I have loved you
More than I love myself
I have never got the chance to hold you
But you will always have my heart

even if your not a poet you resemble one

Sorry about your loss of your relationship....maybe someday she/he will see your love.

Thanks, and it's not that I lost the relationship, I will never have it. I was gonna name my son Elijah, and it turns out I could very well be infertile. Guess I'm more like a lifeless volcano than anything.
