Thank you Moog. Out of curiosity did you listen on a desktop or portable device?

Or if you have the technical expertise could you explain to me why it would be so distorted on portable devices but not distorted on home computers at low volume.

People have told me it sounds like some type of uncomfortable sounding "oriental" music on portable devices, if they can hear it at all. If that is where you heard it, I did not consider the gramophone analogy. That is an interesting thought in appreciating what some might find very uncomfortable to listen to.

I have to wonder when I listen to the distorted version if my mind is not filling in the "holes" because I already know what the "full version" sounds like so well.

There seems to be some peaks on some of the notes causing a little distortion. That's hearing it on (terrible) earphones. I didn't notice it on the computer speakers (desktop).

Different speaker/heaphones can be more or less forgiving of such things.

Could be that a little tinkering with EQ and/or Compression might sort it out.

Don't worry guys, my audio quality will be insanely improved once I get an audio interface. I will be putting together whole demos through FL studio and such, too...would prefer using Soundcloud anyways. Easier to allow downloads.

b9, are your issues more with the audio quality or the playing? Or is it just a different style than you enjoy? I acknowledge my phrasing was bad when I played that, and it has since improved.

My soundcloud page is updated with 3 new tracks (old though, that I did awhile back but forgot to upload). All 3 were meant to be songs (home was actually recorded vocals by a singer) I'd record vocals myself but I have trouble recording while NOT playing live (eg cubase editing and poor external mic - my vocal tracks were recorded from my comp built in mic). So I gave up waiting for these forever to be vocalized and decided to upload them.

Check them out if you want to :) also you can PM me to discuss about music in general. I am open to new genres!

@Moog

I checked out your track "Logical Mystic" It sounds ambient-ish very much :thumleft: . I especially like that punchy synth arpeggio. What Plugins do you use? You have great transitions BtW.

Katie Mia- I like that LoFi piano sound haha. Live music is the best music IMO. No studio can be that.

Thanks Chummy, I like live music too. :) I enjoyed your music on sound cloud, but could not link to the third one for some reason. I am not a member of sound cloud, so that could be the reason, I guess.

Thank you :-)

The punchy synth sounds were from TAL Uno-LX, I like it a lot.

I am going to be into the studio soon! Gonna have 3 albums and 3 EPs to space out over time plus a free sampler. He also has a lot of professional quality equipment, so it will sound insanely better than my videos! Very excited.

If I can't make it in the music industry though, I fear my suicidal thoughts related to my perfectionism.
