Lem's Solaris. Getting back into classic sci-fi and enjoying the different style that sounds fantastic on audiobooks.

The Saga Of The Outlaw Harry Tracy.

So far, the author has painted a picturesque description of the latter old west era Pacific Northwest, but from relying on other biographic material about robber, gunman, and all around western badman Harry Tracy, I can tell that the author is already in error (ascribing Tracy's upbringing in Midwestern city slums - in fact, he was a country boy, and the popular claim that he had ridden with Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch - while he shared the same hideouts, there is no evidence he was ever a member). On top of that, while short on historic facts about Tracy, the author is long on fictional scenes he puts Tracy into. Not a great book, but an interesting read for anyone with an interest in old west outlaw history.

Reading episode entries along with watching the show on DVD.

About to finish up the Memory, Sorrow, & Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams. Great books.

Figured it was about time. Alas, I'm having so much trouble focusing on reading at the moment.

ETA, it bothers me that the color of the book in the image isn't the same as the one I'm reading. Same cover (sans the red banner at the top--URGH, just noticed, that one has updated info!--*#$&#*$&*! ), but mine is more greenish.

EETA, oh, it's not QUITE the same after all...the placement of the nautilus shell in the background seems slightly different! And part of the font is a different size too, to accommodate the banner. Hm.


Tl;dr--I am apparently reading an outdated version of this book.

Right now Im reading Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon from The Outlander Series.

Robert Chambers' anthology of horror stories, tied together by a forbidden, madness inducing play called The King IN Yellow. The collection has inspired everyone from H.P. Lovecraft, to the TV series, True Detective. So far, it's pretty weird in definitely a good way!

Now that the semester is just about over, I can finally read my book again instead of course required books. I am now reading Bag Of Bones by Stephen King.
