It's not that there's shame in the virgin status itself, it's just that most people that are virgins well into their 20s in the modern world are either nerdy losers who can't find anyone (like me), or are saving it for marriage (which may indicate a fundamentalist of some kind, but not always)...

I lost mine at 14 because I didn't want to go into HS a virgin. The guy I did it with was going into the army after HS and I wanted to give him something to brag about when he went. Saw him a year later and he married his GF after me.

I'm 18 and unfortunelately I'm still a virgin I was about to lose virginity to a girl but she didn't turn up and plus she wanted me to and I'm scared of sex
