As the thread title says, is there someone you used to be with years ago who you still miss, still think about, still have some feelings for?

I wouldn't say that I still have feelings for anyone but I miss being with exes going as far back as 12 years ago.

I'm in love with my childhood friend. I have been for the past 8 years. However, we stopped being on speaking terms 6 years ago (it's a long story). But even though we can never be friends (let alone a couple) in real life, I have recurring dreams about her all the time. These dreams are always of a pleasant nature, and they help to quell the heartache of reality. I also daydream about her a lot too. I guess you could say she's sort of become an imaginary friend.

I've mentioned this already in lots of post
My ex girl-friend. It was a mostly online thing & that was 7 years ago. She was the only person I ever connected with & really cared about. We broke up for lots of rezones because we both had or issues & problems & we quit being friends & quit communicating shortly after we broke up. I miss her terribly. I've thought about trying to contact her but I know that's the last thing I should ever do because I could not live with the guilt of upsetting something in her life by coming back into it. I'd rather die a slow excruciatingly painful death & be tortured in hell for all eternity than risk causing her some kind or problems. I caused to many

Oh, yes. I try my best to stay on good terms or remain friends with guys I've dated, which can be a good thing on one hand, but also a bad thing on the other. It's not exactly conducive to 'moving on' or 'getting over' someone.

I still have a soft spot for all the ladies I felt I liked more than friends, even if they dislike me and/or they pissed me off.

I don't think you ever completely forget your first love.

A friend from about 10 years ago. The first (and only, to date) human I ever felt truly connected to. Words fail me.

I thought my brain/heart/self was going to break from it for a while, but it looks like I'm going live. I understand now how there are some people you carry around inside you forever. (And the hurt of loss, too, unfortunately.)

No doubt. I don't forget anything that was important. Of course I miss my long gone pets too. When I do run into people I knew well years later, my mind will skip back to where we left off. I will have to remind myself that a bunch has happened to both of us in the mean time. I am not sure what that says about me.

Still thinking of them 18 years later. I guess I'm stuck with those feelings for the rest of my life.

At a point in my life, I had to choose between two women -- one wanted to marry me, one, we had barely gotten our relationship going. I chose the former, which was the right choice, but I bemoan the chance I could have had to get a certain fetish out of my system. This girl also meant so much to me too, but I had to break it off, and break off all contact. I have reached out to her in the years since (it's been about 13 years), but she's not interested in even being acquaintances. :( Sad to have to make hard choices like that.

Not to me. The idea of Emily missing me makes me feel worse. If she misses me half as much as I miss her; she's having major problems. That line of thinking didn't work for John Wait
