Wow, I feel at home here. Everything can always be brought down to simple logic.

As much as I agree with this statement in part, in another I don't. I agree with the bonding of two people and that it's an amazing feeling, because it is and it is. I feel it's a good way of finding a lifelong companion in which you have mutual respect for one another as well as other emotions that come together to make that feeling called 'love'. Where you can feel comfortable to be with each other, look your best, your worst etc etc.

The marriage and kids part is the bit I have a bit of a quarrel with. Yes, I believe it is much better for children if they have been 'produced' through love as opposed to casual fling, and that it is in the confines of wedlock as this provides more stability on the whole family unit. If this suits a certain couple then great. However, the fella I am with doesn't believe in marriage and I am not that bothered. Plus neither of us wants kids. So we are together for each other and that's it really. We do not need a piece of marital paper to prove our love for each other, nor do I need kids to provide further evidence. The only person I need to prove my love to is my boyfriend and I do that anyway.

But otherwise I appreciate the statement as it has much value in my eyes.

You don't need love for that. Just certain equipment and lust.

I've never even had a girlfriend so can't say I know much about that sort of thing Love can mean different things though, not always involving sex.I think the Greek language has different words for love depending on the context.
Love can mean you care very much about someone and want the best for them in like a christian sort of way.
I think a lot of people get confused and think they are in love with someone when really it is just lust.

The interior of a heart is difficult to discern in any single part.
It's often found that that of most, is often bound, to those who know not its worth.

Love is a drug.

It makes the heart ache, especially during withdrawal.

It alters the senses. It causes one to lose rationality.

When the effects wear off, you wonder how the hell you could have been so foolish.

Yet you yearn to be hooked again.

We must earn it.

Love is exactly that. It's a natural mania that spurs you into reproducing - a biological imperative. This doesn't detract from the fact that it's wonderful and rewarding, if ultimately messy. To deny the impulse to love is to sit out on the game of life.
