- He's of the same age as me.
- He's younger than me (by 2 years while they're both over 30)
- I liked him a lot at first but later I felt too comfortable with him. ( >_> )
- He's not taller enough than me.

Post your list, folks.

-you're not ready for a relationship... Only comes across as weird if the other clearly demonstrates they aren't ready.
-I'm not ready for a relationship- usually backed up by an announcement of a relationship she is in and you see this on your Facebook feed later on that week
-if we met two years ago, I would be in a relationship with you.
-you came into my life at the wrong time

-girl makes out with Cambodian friend of mine and when he asks for contact information, he's told "I don't date coloured people"
-couple friends of mine have amazing chemistry with each other and they clearly like each other, but she says "it would feel awkward to date you".
-Ex boyfriend lurking around "behind the scenes"... She opens up about new dates... He gets jealous... She dumps new beau and even accuses new beau of using her.

You're too nice.
We don't spend enough time together.
Blah blah blah your friends blah blah blah more than me blah blah blah I want blah blah blah o.k. fine! Don't bother!
I just made out with one of your friends.
Lets just be friends.
Lets just have sex.
There is this other guy, and I cannot make up my mind.
There is this other guy.
You live too far away.
You owe me money for that!

Zero points for trying! Thanks for making me remember.

The one I will remember most is that I was "weak, unmotivated, and couldn't communicate".

All I did was ask for relationship advice.

"you can get way better than me" was one that really pissed me off recently.

Most of the time, I simply don't get a reason. I just get ignored from then on.

"I don't think i will like you"
the first (and last) message he sends me. he didn't even want to get to know me.

*crickets*

^^That's the most common "rejection" I get after I've been messaging with someone awhile. I suspect it has mostly to do with the fact that I don't live anywhere near any of the people I might find interesting; therefore, the chance of us actually going on a date is slim to none. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, as the saying goes.

I think the weirdest i got was "nope I'm mean"

Though not a rejection yet, there was a girl who messaged me today asking to cyber, and when i replied with "hello, how are you" thinking it was a joke, she said "i was joking thats gross"

Not entirely sure how a simple hello is gross, but i think she was just trolling.

I think the most amusing I rejected was a "straight" guy who apparently thought i was attractive despite his profile indicating a very poor view of bi/gay people and non monogamy.... no, you either lied to me or on your profile, liars are no good.

I usually get nothing as far as reasons go....

But I did get "I'm not ready to date again yet" by my best friend the night I told her I have feelings for her a month before being told she's getting back with her ex ( not related to OKCupid, but still ). I hate my life.....

I wish people would be honest, in the nicest possible way saying "I don't like you like that".

You don't need to be nasty to reject someone honestly.

I also would like that over complete silence. Both get their message through but it would help to know why I guess. I can take the reasoning.

There's been lots of times when a relationship has self destructed, in fact it's happened so many times that I can see it coming. However, there was one weird one that's always stuck in the back of my mind. I'd met someone through computer dating and we were getting on quite well, from what I remember we had been together for a couple of months or so. Then one evening I phoned her so that we could arrange to meet for a movie and she was in tears, she then accused me of being unfaithful and dating another woman who worked at a local pharmacy (she even named her).

The thing was, I wasn't being unfaithful and out of curiosity more than anything else I phoned the pharmacy the next day and asked to speak to the woman in question. Nobody with that name worked there. To this day I still think that her upset was genuine but I have no idea what happened.

Weirdness.

^^^ very little doubt in my mind that this girl was being unfaithful to you and staged the fight to transfer any guilt she had on to you. Anyway to avoid responsibility for her actions

This.

But other than that I've been lucky (so far), and I've been rejected only with honest reasons. (For exaple: "You're too young for me." which was true.)

The one I always give is "Because I don't want to."

Completely 100% honest and to the point. I shouldn't have to search for reasons why I don't want to date someone, and most of the time there isn't, it's just I don't want to and I don't have to.
