Have you heard about the "fracas"? Clarkson's contract was not renewed because he punched a producer in the face, and May and Hammond don't want to continue on Top Gear without Clarkson. The BBC is looking for three new presenters. The old trio may do another car show somewhere else, but that'll probably be behind a paywall, something like Netflix.
One of the great things about Top Gear was that it was free to view on the BBC, and had no commercials in between. The American Top Gear probably has a break every 5 minutes like every American channel.
Ah yes, I did - but I've heard he's taking his team along, so probably they'll in process to make their own program with another producer?

There are rumors that the three presenters + Andy Wilman (Top Gear producer who quit) are talking with private tv companies, and that they will possibly make a new car show on Netflix. I don't like that because I don't want to get a Netflix subscription just for Top Gear. But then I'm from the generation of free tv and no paywalls. Top Gear was better to watch on BBC than on other channels because the BBC has no commercial breaks. I can't stand those.
