no.

even my mother forgot my birthday this year.

although the news ran a nice story about the 25th anniversary of the event that i was born at the same time as.

My dad called me a few weeks later and asked if my birthday was coming up.

I tell it before my birthday so people remember to say congrats and such :D

like:

Me: "Only 2 days for my birthday :D"
A person from my class: "Nice :)"

I am not a birthday person, so I do not tell people about it. Usually I am unaware of what the date is, so it is common for me to forget about my birthday anyway and find out a few days later it has passed. Heh. I am bad about such things...

I don't usually tell people, because I don't want people to try to socialize with me just for that, when they ignore me the rest of the year. Besides, my birthday falls on a holiday, so most people are focused on that. If someone asks me, I'll tell them, but otherwise not.

I don't tell people about my birthday and I ask others not to "share the news". I hate birthday parties and all the fuss. People usually expect you to be happy and cheerful on your birthday and all I usually want is to crawl under the table and stay there unnoticed (I used to do that as a child). I prefer to spend that day as any other or do something quiet and special that I could enjoy and that wouldn't include a bunch of people.

I don't make a big thing of it but I may mention it.

I tell them if they ask, but not otherwise.

What good would it do if I told them it was my birthday, none.

Besides, I hate being the center of attention.

No. Not unless they ask - and then I hope that they forget.

Not in person. Facebook does, but I don't particularly care one way or the other if it does, since generally the people who wish me happy birthday are the people who would know when my birthday is in real life.

I actually spent the night of my 21st birthday doing real analysis homework. I don't think anyone whom I worked with knew I was turning 21, and there's no real reason they had to know.

I don't for a simple reason.

I'm not looking for insincere expressions of joy.

If someone cares if it is my birthday, they will do something without my having to tell them about it.

I don't see getting older as a cause for celebration, so I don't make a big deal about it.

No one to tell, so it makes the decision easy.

I'll mention it to a few select people, but I rarely bring it up.

I avoid mentioning it to anyone because I remember birthdays I deem important.

I don't tell anyone it's my birthday. I hate being the center of attention. I feel awkward about receiving gifts, and I don't ever feel like I deserve them. I like when my close friends remember and say "happy birthday" but then I change the subject :)

I haven't told anyone my birthday is today...I don't know how they keep finding out

On a serious note, I do enjoy celebrating it, it makes me feel important, which is a nice change from the usual. For some reason, the day of my birthday though, I get severely depressed and just want to crawl in a hole and not see anyone the whole day. I hate the feeling, but it seems unavoidable.

Although I didn't publicise my birthday at work, the cat's out of the bag simply because a coworker has the same birthday. In fact, it seems everything I'm affiliated to has someone with the same birthday. At the autism centre, I discovered another service user has the same birthday. Maybe a combined night out/pub crawl come the time?
