Meant for geeky NTs yet highly relevant to us:

Must say that I relate to most of these.....except the technical part (I am not technically oriented, so technically I am not a geek). And number 8 is especially an issue to me.

1 to 5 are all bad advice.

6 to 12, however, is advice to be taken.

The whole thing sounds very tongue-in-cheek, almost like a satire of some sort.

Are you sure the author wasn't having a laugh at our expense?

Hmm, I agree with Ivan_AG that this article is so tongue-in-cheek that I don't dare to take it too seriously.
Tip 12: Yes, I have learnt the hard way that most NTs are allergic to the word "should".
Tip 11: Both my Aspie cousin and I are often guilty of asking NTs, "Did you know that...?"
Tip 8: Surprisingly, NTs are the ones who complain that they are obliged to dumb their vocab down while talking to me.

Those rules apparently true! My counsellor has talked to me about social norms and a-typical personalities. Geekness is one of them as well. Please consider yourself comfortable, don't try too fast onto friendships. It takes time, I learnt it very well and it is working as a success! Think about it. If you are happy and positive, you will understand this.

It's not satire, even though the author is humorous at times--he's writing from the geek point of view, not making fun. All of these tips are good ones, too (and I'm a complete failure at number 8.)
