I can possibly attend the 11th as well. How does everyone feel about keeping both dates running? Is anyone only able to make it on the 18th?

Okay I think the 11'th is majority. What time did you guys want to meet at and does anyone from Toronto know a good restaurant/pub nearby? We can definitely keep both dates running but next weekend would probably work best for me.

I have no idea, but let's make it a restaurant. Pubs aren't my thing. And you guys need to show us around the city. :D

I'd say Aug. 11 at around 2, 2:30pm. I'll still go if you guys want it earlier than that, but I'll be undeniably late as a result.

Hmm, so you guys want to know some good restaurants? What kinds of food do you like to eat? Is this for dinner or lunch?

2-2:30 I guess would be lunch-ish... Pretty much anything except seafood would work for us.

The Pickle Barrel just popped into my head but I don't know if that's far from Union Station or not.

Yeah, it's probably a 10-20 minute walk, if you're okay with that. You know where the Eaton Centre is? That's where there is a Pickle Barrel.

I'm sure we can track it down somehow haha. I've been to downtown Toronto many times but I'm not from there and my sense of direction is horrible.

If it was me, I'd suggest C'Est What? which is a short walk (three blocks up the road) from Union Station if you like your beer.

SLICED would be a good option for people who only eat gluten-free food. They seem to have good food in general, according to the reviews I've read.

I like this option, since I eat only gluten-free food. I do NOT want to go to Eaton Centre... it's total sensory overload! Especially seeing that I will be meeting a bunch of new folks that day, going to such overstimulating places is likely to shut me down for the rest of the day, and I want to be able to interact!

I actually go to an Asperger's monthly get-together and our next outing was planned to be on the 11th at 1 PM. However, I do not want to pass up this opportunity, so I think I will have to opt out of the former event.

And one more thing... I will possibly be bringing my boyfriend along, who is also on the spectrum. We tend to do a lot of PDA but we can hold it back at this event with prior agreement between the two of us.
