This is my first post ever, hope it's ok.....
I have recently come to the conclusion, after testing this theory out, that because other people don't feel or think in the same way as we do, they simply cannot understand what we are talking about, especially if it is about how we feel or the way we percieve the world, and they tune themselves out of the conversation, because it is hard to concentrate on something you don't understand. Very few people feel comfortable talking about Aspergers, especially my family, they still find it hard to accept, maybe because I was diagnosed as an adult they feel guilty that they didn't spot it when I was a child.
Sometimes I do get it wrong though, the person has been listening and I have misread them.
