I have a friend who's constantly angry, or yelling at people, and I want to know how to make sure that he's happy, He talks so much about his depression issues, that I'm trying to find a way to help him, but he's constantly irritated at me, so I don't know how to help. I was wondering how I could help him be happy without irritating him.

I've tried and it often makes depressed people angry trying to make them happy. I hunk partly they are frustrated and don't want to be made to do one more thing.

Defines works just to express concern, offer to help, seems to calm them---there isn't any extra demand to upset them or make the feel a failure that way.

some people must first heal themselves before they become amenable to social niceties.
