hey,

i have a cat, and i know what he needs and when he needs in it, and what he is thinking feeling and such in the slightest of moovments....and he loves me back...and i am his fav.
and i prefer to be around him more than any of my family members, including siblings.

i was wondering if this is the same for anyone else...more ore less to start a topic on this quesiton.

I don't have any pets right now, but when I did, I always
got along with them better, felt more comfortable around
them, and felt more love and affection toward them than
my family.

I see my family once a year, and I'm more or less velcro'd to my dog. :D

yeah, i've always understood cats better than people. they are pretty straightforward little creatures.

I have ferrets too, but I couldn't click on "dogs" and "ferrets" in the poll...

In some ways I think I prefer the dogs. How affectionate my family is, and how much they want to see me, depends on what kind of sday they've had; what kind of day I've had; whether I've had to say "no" to something - all kinds of factors. But however much my day has been rubbish, however bad a mood I'm in - my dogs love me unconditionally, and I know they're glad to see me.
