While getting good at something is great; take it in small bites, and take the steps to finish it correctly. Do not take short cuts, but take the long way in life. If you are helping yourself and doing what is necessary to benefit yourself then that is all that matters. Hopelessness is counter-productive.

This is sound advice and wish I would've listened to something like it this time last year.
My business venture - I was so eager to get a premises and open it I did not do all the necessary things first and take my time, but rather as I went along and without the time or care needed. A long list of things I should have done, and I should've tried to open it late this year not late last year.
