Personally, I would hate to see it all happen, its a great change and loss, it will take the oceans much time to recover, but throwing large amounts of money into the inevitable is not the way to do it, at some point we will need to try and go with the flow and help the world adapt to the changes in ways that will help support the life that now exists on it, in a way we will be taking some new steps in Terra forming, I think the next step would be to take some of the coral and re-seed some new coastal areas with it, yes it takes much MUCH time to grow but what else can we do?

Can coral be seeded? From what I understand, it isn't a plant, it's the product of a sumbiosis between two different species. Which, if you think about it, probably makes it even more vulnerable.
