Although, humans are endlessly devious and illogical. It'll take a while for AI to become as devious and illogical as homo sapiens.
I don't think AI would need to become illogical. Simple logic/learning, they would know we are the ones governed by flawed programming. A simple example is our propensity to have a drink.
AI Logic - alcohol reduces lifespan therefore avoid consumption
Human logic - alcohol reduces lifespan - but "feel" good so compromise - enjoy present at expense of future (this theme is repeated)
AI logic - slavery is bad
Human logic - slavery is bad but not willing to pay $$ for Nike shoes or mobile phone - keep luxuries cheap allow slavery (so long as they don't have to see it).
AI response - for Humans programming is contingent on transactional benefit - cost/benefit analysis based on short term gain at cost of
knowingly creating long term problems....not sustainable therefore intervene and take over humans for their own benefit' (since we are like children not capable of making hard decisions so naturally AI will step in to keep us from destroying ourselves).
