It sometimes happens to me when WP is busy, the submit appears to fail or gives an error message so I hit submit again, often to find the first attempt had worked anyway.

Dupedlicate topic

After I post I clik to see my message, and If it is duplicate I erase the second one, or if someone has posted below mine, I erase the post and write "edit" or "double post".

I find it embarrassing to double post.
