Does anyone have statistics about the prevelance of ADD in aspies? I can find numbers for all other common comorbidities but not ADD.

I think they classify it still as an either/or diagnosis.

In my case, I was diagnosed with adult ADD, but have taken several tests that indicate I have aspergers. Is it a wrong diagnosis, or is ADD on the same spectrum?

I found some interesting information here:

There are MANY people diagnosed with both.

Some, including me, even say ADD and ADHD are on the spectrum. But then, neurotypical is also on the spectrum.

I've heard many, but no one seems to have any idea of how many. For example 60% of those with tourette's have ADD. But I think ADD is overdiagnosed in aspies.

:o

I'm a "severe" case of ADD. That means I'm on the spectrum, according to this theory! 8O
(NOT diagnosed as autistic/AS. Just a professional suspect. :? )
