Is Barack Obama a neoconservative? His administration has defended many of the abuses that happened under the Bush administration and continued many of them with relish. He has opened a new front: Libya. All I know is that in 2008, I wanted to vote for a candidate who was not a neocon.

There's basically no difference between the Liberal interventionists of the Left and the Neo-cons of the Right. Whatever you think of war and the reasons for it, it is possible to adopt an internationalist position that favours human rights in other countries but opposes warfare as a means of achieving it. Try and avoid the Nationalist Politics of a Buchanan or Paul though. Their non-interventionism just doesn't give a s**t about foreign populations.

Which is funny when you consider that he gets less votes as a result but the neocons view he getting less votes are a proof that people want neocons

Neocons and liberals are practically the same in office. Bush wanted to sign the assault weapons ban and he was a huge spender. Also he expanded the size of the Government big time. Bill Clinton was responsible for the don't ask don't tell policy. It's funny how often both sides go against their own principles. And of course Obama was talking about pulling out of Iraq while he was campaigned when he hasn't strayed from Bush's plan in the slightest. Another funny thing is that Reagan who is seen as a hardcore conservative, was also in favour of the assault weapons ban.

Barack Obama is a far left radical socialist, he makes Bush look like Rush Limbaugh and that's pretty dang hard to do.

I'm not even a neocon so I wouldn't even like the dude. I'm just saying it's strange how he was pretty much conservative in every aspect except for guns. He was talking about how bad socialized medicine was, yet he supported a policy that would leave people on their knees waiting for the Government to save em from a crook with a kevlar vest. I like how you're petty enough to find every opportunity to be condescending when I clearly didn't approve of either the Reps or the Dems I listed.

This statement is a patent falsehood. Lenin and Makhno are far left radical socialists. Barack Obama is far to the right of Bernie Sanders (himself a tame social democrat). Obama would fit in nicely in the 50's or 60's GOP when it wasn't run by nuts.

Actually he is like Lenin, he wants to "spread the wealth." In other words take money away from people that worked for it and give it to people that didn't.

Reagan was the proto-neocon. Much of his administration (the people who actually ran the Executive branch during his time in office) are founders of the neocon movement and philosophy in the execution side of things. Reagan really helped turn that corner of interventionist, religiously invasive right wingers whose only real connection to each other is a social conservatism that is more of a social regressionist movement when observed from the big picture.

Eventually you'll need to stop regurgitating talking points from Rush Limbaugh and Fox News and start applying a little thought to what you say.

Do you really believe the s**t you're saying or is it merely sport to bait democrats with? Having said that i bet Hannity is stupid enough to think Baracks a Leninist so i don't see why you shouldn't be.

Employers take money away from their employees all the time but yet you see no problem with it.

Obama isn't even left-wing by American standards. His administration has governed to the right of the American center.
