What would you call a romantic dance? I'm not talking about Waltz but more about what well bred ladies and gentlemen from the 60ies would have danced to but is still current today.

The foxtrot is timeless but the only place I ever see it (or do it) is wedding receptions.

i would like if there were still waltzes and such, because i do love to dance (though i am quite horrid at every form of dancing). i think a sock hop would've been fun too. i don't know of anything similar in the modern day. people sometimes do ballroom dance classes and there are events and stuff around that, or my friend used to do salsa dancing in a club, but those are different.

Yeeah, most kids do that "dry humping grinding" thing at dances these days. I flail like a spazz on the dance floor. :P

Fast dances are the most popular right now. Salsa, especially, but west coast swing can get you by in a lot of situations.

This is why you will never see me on a dance floor, barring one or two past exceptions.

But most of the time I'm drunk when I'm dancing so I don't care.
