Hate (well 'hate' is a strong word but... let's say am not equipped with the proper disposition to appreciate):
Korn

Nine Inch Nails - tolerable, some good (Closer!)
System of a Down - crap
Radiohead - yawn. That video with the suit filling with water was good.
Tool - meh
Black Light Burns - who?
Korn - crap
Muse - mostly meh, some good (Supermassive Black Hole, which I gather is untypical of their usual whiny emo sound  )
Queens of the Stone Age - meh
ohGr - who?
Aesthetic Perfection - who?
Mindless Self Indulgence - never heard them, name sounds familiar
Alice in Chains - never heard them
Blur - mixed, some bad, some very good (love Coffee & TV, This is a Low).
Nirvana - mostly crap, some good
The Cure - meh, some good
The Pixies - never heard
The Smashing Pumpkins - crap
Slipknot - crap
Massive Attack - good, but not really my thing; (love Hymn of the Big Wheel, Angel)
Serj Tankian - never heard
Scars on Broadway - who?
Thom Yorke - he's the Radiohead guy, right? that'd be a yawn.
A Perfect Circle - who?
Puscifer - never heard.
Porcupine Tree - who?
Martin Grech - who?
Coil - meh
Doctor Steel - who?
Kasabian - some bad, some good
Arctic Monkeys - uh, they're alright. Didn't really follow them after their first album.
Machines of Loving Grace - who? Wasn't that a documentary? :)

Google tells me the ones I don't recognise are mostly industrial ones, I'll give 'em a listen sometime.

A couple of them are some of my favorites (The Cure, MSI, Nirvana), some I used to listen to (Slipknot, KoRn), a few I sort of listen to (Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys), the rest I'm indifferent to or haven't heard of.

Nine Inch Nails - Never been into them, they seem boring to me.
System of a Down - Used to be into them, now not my kind of thing.
Radiohead - Never been into them, always seemed like emo teen stuff to me.
Tool - Like, fairly new to them after finding some on my laptop and finally putting on my MP3 player.
Black Light Burns - Never heard of them.
Korn - They're good, at times, but not really my kind of thing.
Muse - They're good, newer stuff is terrible though.
Queens of the Stone Age - Love.
ohGr - Never heard of them.
Aesthetic Perfection - Never heard of them.
Mindless Self Indulgence - Never heard of them.
Alice in Chains - Good, not listened to enough of them.
Blur - Okay, again, not my kind of thing.
Nirvana - Was a big fan, but there's only so much you can listen to, and for only so long.
The Cure - Okay.
The Pixies - Good.
The Smashing Pumpkins - Too young to really get into them, but they're good.
Slipknot - Hate...apart from Wait and Bleed.
Massive Attack - Nope, not my thing.
Serj Tankian - Never heard of them.
Scars on Broadway - Never heard of them.
Thom Yorke - Never heard of them.
A Perfect Circle - Okay, not heard enough of them.
Puscifer - Never heard of them.
Porcupine Tree - Never heard of them.
Martin Grech - Never heard of them.
Coil - Not heard enough of them to give any sort of opinion.
Doctor Steel - Never heard of them.
Kasabian - Good, not on top of my list but I'd put them up there with Muse for general greatness.
Arctic Monkeys - Awesome, not top of my list, but they are amazingly good.
Machines of Loving Grace - Never heard of them.

I don't really know music unless I put it on my MP3 player - don't listen to music otherwise, as my own MP3 collection is so poor and as I tend more often than not to put music I know on my MP3 player...my music tastes are eclectic, but limited :?

Don't think Blur made it big across the pond, which might explain it.
As to the other, well, you don't have to know who's in a band to like their music.
