A few people here assert they were never bullied.

Did they just not notice it when it happen? Do they maybe have a different definition of bullying? Are they just tough?

I'm a girl so I was almost never bullied in the traditional sense. I've had fellow girls be catty and exclusionary towards me or just simply act as if I didn't exist but that's about the worst. I was cyber-bullied out of NOWHERE by someone I barely knew who I suspect is a spectrumite himself.

If they were never bullied then they were either scary or fake aspies.

I was so small I never got in trouble with taking a swing at the face of a wanna-be-bully. That, coupled with amazingly quick reflexes, meant that they quickly moved on to a less dangerous target.

I was always very quiet so I was ignored by everyone. I think people didn't know what to make of me or assumed I was weird because I never talked.

I was never bullied. When I was younger I somehow managed to have friends, which helped, and then in high school I was pretty quiet, so people didn't notice me, but people would routinely come up to me and ask if I was new because they had never seen me before. What's funny is some people who did that had actually shared classes with me and so I knew them for years but they had never noticed me.

I almost have to agree. Kids will pick on ANYTHING even slightly different, so if someone claims to have AS but never got bullied... wtf?

I was bullied somewhat in elementary school. Otherwise, up to my knowledge I wasnt bullied. But being that I was aspie, I do highly suspect that I got smack talked behind my back and maybe very subtle nonverbal bullying but I really have nothing to back this up other then suspicions. I barely read body language until college so how was I suppose to know. I didnt start to record detailed memories till my senior yr of HS.

Depends how you define bullied. If you're talking people trying to bully me and me not really noticing, yeah I probably was. It's just that in a sense you can't really bully someone that thinks you're an idiot and isn't scared to give it back, whether physical or verbal. I've always been an outsider but easy target never.

Or had a very nice school.

Bullying is not inevitable. If schools take seriously the idea that bullying is not acceptable, and create a social climate where bullying is not allowed, then there won't be any bullying.

My Dad taught in a school like that once, in a small town founded by religious people who only picked the most moral people to live there. There were bullies, but the other kids didn't let them get away with it and would stand up for their victims.
