I didn't do very well this quarter in college. I'm a little bit bummed. I always start out doing great with these things, but it doesn't take long for me to get cold feet and try to hide from it. The only problem is, I can't hide the next time around. I'll be paying for this coming quarter on my own, and paying my family back for the money they spent on me.
I need to learn better ways of dealing with stress, other than getting snippy with everyone around me, or hiding away in my room. It's time to grow up. It was time to grow up years ago. But really. Now it's time to grow up. And I'm scared. I'd rather have just one more year to pretend like I'm not behind in my responsibilities. But that one year always turns into two more. I'm all out of excuses for leading the life that I do and if I don't change, I'm going to lose my friends, my family and my hope for a better life.

It's such an odd state of mind. I'm unhappy and afraid, but exhilarated at the prospects of change. If I manage to turn my life around, it will be this stage of my existence that I'll look back at for strength in future areas of growth. There are two roads. One heads for a cliff, and the other leads me into a forest with wolves at my back.

It was a lady's last day at work today. She'd been there for 26 years. She's still working for the firm though, just that she'll be doing it from her new home 4 hours away in Tamworth.

Lost of people shed a tear during her farewell lunch. I being one of the few who remained emotionally unaffected (surprisingly enough). I feel kinda bad that I was so stony faced, but I've never considered myself close friends with any of my workmates. They like to go on at work about being a big family but emotionally/socially I've never felt a part of it. Maybe it's something I'll finally feel when my time ends there (I doubt it though, no farewell party for me thanks dudes, I just want to leave).

Eh, I shouted her a coffee this morning and gave her a hug this arvy so I'm not a total cold b***h.

We have lived in our new place for 6 months now and I'm still stuck sitting in the dark because there is no light in the living room and my mother won't get one. She also won't get the phone jack I want to use fixed so all this time I have to have my internet cord strung across the living room like a tripwire. I already tripped over it once and knocked my laptop on the floor.

i am playing a reasonably old (but satisfying) game called "empire earth II", and i am unhappy with many aspects of the game.

the most annoying thing about the game (other than the idiotic path finding characteristics of the units) is the lack of attention to minor details by the programmers.

one can slow down the game to 5% (while one micromanages citizens for example) by repeatedly pressing the minus key "-", and the game speed will be briefly displayed on the screen after an alteration of game speed occurs.

when i am at 5% game speed and i hit the minus button again, it says on screen that the game speed has been reduced to 5%! ! that is an incorrect report. the game was already at 5% game speed when i pressed the minus button, so the game speed was not reduced at all. after repeatedly pressing the minus button, and seeing the same message "game speed has been reduced to 5%" over and over, i was quite annoyed.

then i wondered whether the programmers were equally sloppy about the message at the upper end of the game speed. i pressed the "plus" button until i got to 160% (maximum) game speed, and i pressed it a hundred times more after that, and i got a hundred screen messages (that disappear after a few seconds) telling me that "game speed [was] increased to 160%"

it does not matter how many times i press the "plus" button, i still get the message that my game speed has increased.
i do not like to be told lies.

The fact that my supervisor could raise her voice at me again, tomorrow.

My Dad is shouting at his friend right now because she apparently doesn't undertstand why something shouldn't be in a certain room. He sounds so cross and stressed, and I don't like it when that happens. I went back upstairs because I couldn't bear to hear it.

i didnt get to clean the house today. the urge is upon me. and i did not ask a question about whether or not the liberal national party members who did support same sex marriage would cross the floor in support of it despite their leader and party line being opposed to it.

This happened yesterday, but it really frustrates me when people aren't specific enough when they try to answer my questions, especially when that person is my mother.

We were out buying supplies and she told my brother and I to buy the stuff separately so we could use both coupons. I didn't understand why we couldn't pay for the items all together, and she just kept answering me, "Because they won't let us use two coupons." I'd ask her why they won't let us and she just kept saying the same thing over and over again.

I finally read the coupon and it said "One coupon per customer per day."
