Ok - so I'm pretty new here, and haven't really got to know any "characters" yet, 'cause I haven't been around long enough, but I'm interested in meeting/chatting with some other Aspies from the UK, if anyone's willing?

(If they're 20-22, female, highly attractive nymphomaniacs with a general soul-rending passion for music - well - it'll make no difference 'cause I'd be just as pleased to talk to them as anyone else :P)

I'll keep checking back on this thread. Say "HI" if you're from the Police-State :D

...

... God I hate this place.... Gnnn..... 8O

Edit: Well, sometimes...

I am. Whereabouts in the UK do you live? The UK, in its entirety, isn't a small place.

Yes, I'm in the UK, but I don't quite match that part of your wish list you're not differently interested in.

Currently Suffolk, but aiming to move to the West Country early in 2007
(East Cornwall, near Launceston is looking likely.)

I do philosophy, history, literature, and model railways... and a deal besides.

And don't knock this state too much.
if you've ended up here, you've rolled the dice better than average by a long way.

Billy Fish: He wants to know if you are gods.
Peachy Carnehan: Not gods - Englishmen. The next best thing.

Very true. When I go to other countries, the one thing I always long for is to come back here. Britain is a nice country - better than most. It could be made even better, though. :)

I'm from Sussex. It isn't perfect, but it's better than many places I've been. I'm 30-something, male, and I love indie/rock music, Alfa Romeo cars, steam trains and narrowboats.

Emettman - if you move to Launceston, one of my Dad's old friends works on the narrow gauge railway there.

I had a great welcome from several of the owners/operators there. It was an inclining factor. Several of them had come from the Godalming area, it seemed, which was where I lived when young.
I'm also in touch with someone hoping to expand their toy museum, (Currently in Bude)

It will make a big change from looking at eyeballs, but I'm due for a change, or at least a year or so's break.

Hi & *handshake* to all.

I'm 22, diagnosed Aspie, and currently living in Ely, a smallish town of little consequence in Cambridgeshire.

I'm interested in lots of things - psychology, people, music, singing, sciences to name but a few.

I also enjoy ideologically abusing politicians, and watching that great comedy they call British politics. I'm a total cynic - hence the police state comment, though granted, there are many worse places to be.

I do like the UK, a great deal, no matter how sarcastic I may have sounded. Whenever I leave it, I feel great - whenever I come back, it's better.

Thanks for all your replies. I gotta go eat, but I'll post again later with some questions for you all.
