Does being attracted to the same sex change masturbation?

Not sure if anyone else ever noticed this, but I've always been kind of able to get hard just by looking at myself - may seem auto-erotic, but due to the same-sex attraction it seems I can dissociative myself from my mind and so I'm effectively not hot for myself. It's like a straight male having a female body (temporarily?) - although that's just a weird image.

It's different for different people, regardless of attraction.

Weird. I'm not even surprised because sexuality isn't as simple as people have been led to believe.

I've always wondered about this.
Two male friends of mine, one bi and one straight, have both told me that looking at their bodies helps get them aroused.
I (female and straight) have never experienced this myself, even though looking at females in sexual situations can turn me on.

I'm not heterosexual but I don't get aroused by my own body. (However, if I close my eyes and create the image of the body I wish I had, I can sometimes, but not often.) I'm sure you're not the only one who does though.

I'm too damn dysphoric to be attracted to myself in that way.

Bear in mind that sexual arousal can arise not only from seeing an attractive person with whom you would like to have sex; but also from the understanding that your body has this in-built capacity for pleasure.

A straight man, looking at his own body, still understands his body as part of the activity that ultimately results in pleasure--and in that sense his relationship with his body is no different than any other man's relationship with his body.

This is an interesting topic...

When I identified as str8, some of my earliest sexual memories was masturbation in the mirror while turning and exploring my body. When I came out in the military, this didn't change. Being young and really in shape (and seeing a lot of like peers often) made that pretty easy. When I didn't have a girl or porn to arouse me, a mirror would work fine for masturbation.

But as I began to age out of that halcyon time between 18 and 31, couldn't rely on that anymore, despite being in decent shape.

Being pansexual, I do change my masturbation habits and visualizations while masturbating depending on which gender or sex I'm focusing on at the time. When I'm thinking about women, I masturbate differently and with different parts than when I'm thinking about men...

I think seeing myself turns me off, more than anything. I can't even imagine myself in my own body when I masturbate.

interesting topic. im bisexual and physically female (i tend to forget i have a gender sometimes since i dont really care, as far as my selfimage is concerned im a very pretty dude). my boobs have the shape and size i happen to like in women so i like feeling them in my hands, but im also immune to finding myself attractive in the way i find other people attractive.
