I'd like to share some memories. I feel quite sad about some of them. It's hard to explain.

A road that went behind my childhood home. I'd walk up here, build dens, swim in rivers, go to see the pretty girl who was the daughter of a doctor and lived in an expensive house up there and run across farmers' fields with friends -

The high school I went to -

The local town my friends lived in (all lost now) -

The primary school I went to -

The town where my high school and friends were. The big bridge is an abandoned railway I used to walk along when I'd drop out of classes. I'd wander along, read books and daydream -

A supermarket and tourist information shop on the main street of the town -

I can't explain either, however I think I understand you. I can think of a place right now I used to live when I was 5-6 that your photos remind me of, great times, great memorys. Haven't been in that small town for 13 years and haven't talked to anyone from there in 9 1/2 years and I painfully miss it every day. It was a mill town and the mill has since died so 1 in 3 houses or so are empty so going back is almost certin to be depressing anyway. thanks for sharing.

Awesome post. :) I think an exercise like this could be a good thing to do for an adult who maybe is feeling a total lack of identity.

I understand how you feel I've recently got in touch with an old friend via Facebook and its made me quite sad because I remember her as she was and the way out lives were back then. Of course she's moved on and had lots of other friends send its left me with lots of memories I feel quite sad about. I got a book for Christmas that had a pgotgraph of me and a friend when we were younger and my mum suggested I use it to write down all my memories and sort if let them go but if have them to read over for the rest of my life.
