Anyone here play Runescape?

Yes.

Nope, found it too much of a waste of money for poor quality gaming and too many hackers and bots and crap.

I played it a fair bit with friends a few years ago, but I can't say it has ever been very enjoyable. I don't play it anymore.

I played it from 2005 until around June 2011, although after the controversial updates that happened on 10 December 2007 (which resulted in a large amount of the playerbase quitting), I began to slowly lose enjoyment in playing the game. All credibility was lost in early 2012, but in February 2013 a poll was created by Jagex letting users decide if they wanted some old-school servers back, which date back to RuneScape as it was in 2007. I started playing on these old school servers, and I've gotten back into the game I knew and loved during my childhood and early adolescence.

I would recommend giving these old school servers a try if you're an ex-RuneScape player. The current, main version of RuneScape has no sense of achievement any more; everything has become easy to train and earn. Much like how World of Warcraft has been seeing a down turn as well.

My friends and I were almost obsessed with Runescape when we were in middle school. However, once I got to high school, I became kind of bored with it, so I stopped playing.

I found the game very intriguing before the update mentioned here, I never really got into even when it seemed kind of interesting though.
