I'm a romantic at heart. I cried at the end of Titanic. I love a good love song (but nothing too treacly, like R&B).

But I'm 22 and I've never been in love.

Never. Not once. Not even crushes (okay, maybe one or two). I've never longed for another person like that. I don't know what it feels like. It's come to the point that I'm actually a little tired of all the songs about relationships- can't people sing about ANYthing else?

Am I the only one here?

I've been mildly attracted to people, but I wouldn't say I "was in love", because my definition for the latter requires major emotional involvement.

A few years ago, a girl who I was "mildly attracted to" moved away across the country, so I didn't see her for a couple of months. When I met her again, I was really happy, so it's possible to say that for half a day, I had a crush on her.

Otherwise, no, so I'm voting "no".

Me too. :) Like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpNUDLsAOvY.
I don't think of any person when I listen to it, but I like the atmosphere.

I can't say I have ever been in love. I am only mildly Asperger's so it actually should be a little easier for me. I do want to have children, wish to raise a family. The problem is, there isn't one. That and I am only 19. I've got a lot of time ahead of me to become the man I will become.

For some reason it is rare for me to have a crush on someone or fall in love.
For me I need to feel some connection first and it happens maybe once per year. The few times I had a girlfriend it did not work out.

I would like to have someone to talk to and I even would want to raise a few children, but it will take a lot of effort.

Never, because unlike those who bury their heads in sand I know it's BS.

Yes, but only once.

Romantic songs that should tell what love is about. I don't think there's much saying it more clear than music...

Yes... At least I think I was in love. I hardly knew her. I just fell in love with her the first time I talk to her in French class. I think it was the way she spoke to me. Being extremely shy and introverted I never got to know her any better. And after a year or so my feelings faded.

After that, I have never been in love with anyone.

I suppose you haven't met another aspie being a romantic at heart the same way you are? I didn't think I could fall in love either - it's because it's so much more rare to meet someone with a mentality similar to yours when you are aspie...we are a minority.

It doesn't sound coherent that you are romantic at heart and cannot fall in love. Being aspie it's not unlikely you haven't met someone you could actually fall in love with.

I'm in the same boat as you LaPelirroja. I have never been in love and i can't really say i miss it. Maybe it's because i have never met a female who i connected to? I don't know...
