I accidentally broke 8 wineglasses in the last few years. Is it normal? Am I clumsy? I also dropped my espresso cup on the floor but magically it didn't break. I also broke other pieces of glassware mostly while I was washing them.

I noticed that when I'm on the train etc, I keep seeing people using mobile phones with a broken screen. I'd say I have seen ~20 of them at least in the last year or so. So I assume they must be pretty clumsy, too. I have never cracked my mobile phone.

How often do you break things? What did you break?

I guess wineglasses are pretty much meant to be broken. Their shape makes them very unbalanced. Plastic wineglasses may be a good idea. I might try them.

My husband has an aversion to plastic dishware in general. I had to point out our son's tendency to throw things to get him to use plastic dishes for him as a baby.

I shouldn't answer this...

Okay, I've broken a lot of things by accident... Especially in the last year.

If I don't break something at least once a month, I get worried. And if the cat's don't break another thing every month, I consider taking them to the vet.

Not very often, but if I do, it's often by accident, and I would feel bad about it afterward because I was the one who broke it.

I don't break things [most of the time] but in general, things break ON me or things break ME.

Its normal if your gross and/or fine motor skills are bad, I know the feeling as I am very clumsy myself, I can't walk without my arms clearing tables, feel kicking things and everything I hold gets droped or knocked into something at some point. The headstock on my guitar(yes the hands that can't hold things like glasses can for some reason play) is full of dents from being banged off the door frames. The trick is to avoid buying and using glass things. I think I read aswell low muscle tone has something to do with things breaking/spilling wine glasses.

It is very rare for me to break things but if i do break something its mainly an accident not on purpose.

I have not broken anything in the past year, but I have broken my same arm twice. Does that count?

I'm very careful, as one of my peeves is carelessness or breaking things when it can be prevented with a little care. But as I'm human, I'd say 3 dishes/year in the kitchen (mainly due to slippage when trying to wash & dry them). Otherwise, I've been fairly lucky when it comes to dropping my iPhone, and tripping over cords, etc. Done those things, but no damage

I used to break thing quite often, It's usually because I try and do everything at a hundred miles an hour. But I try and be careful these days.

I guess I'm weird. My motor skills aren't very good but I rarely break things. Maybe what I have at home isn't breakable.
