Unbelievable, ignorant and uneducated parents should honestly be banned from having children. Apparently they were so stupid they mistook the boy's autism and hyperactivity for an eating disorder. The parents assaulted and starved the child.

WHAAAAAATTTT?????! !! !! That's horrible, that outrageous, that's damned, that's...that's so awful that I would have to come up with a new word for it! It's... HIDEOAWFREADENMONSTROCIOUS!! ! Those people themselves should be persecuted! They should starve too, to see how their child felt being starved himself! Only MONSTERS would do such a thing to such a young child!

Too bad the U.K. Doesn't have the death penalty. This case would more than justify its use in this case, regardless of whether this kid was on the spectrum or NT. If ever Biblical Old Testament Law (an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth) should be carried out, it should be in this case.

^ No ... I think it would be sufficient punishment to simply spay and neuter the parents.

If I was the crying type of person, I'd be nothing but tears right now. Reading that story was like reading about my own miserable childhood.

Daniel was autistic. I'm autistic.
Daniel stole food. I stole food.
Daniel was severely abused. I was beaten and sent to school bleeding from my face.
Daniel, emaciated with sunken eyes, looked like an old man. To this very day I still refer to myself as The Old Man because I never laughed as a child. I was always so serious.
Daniel had symptoms of abuse like broken bones but was overlooked by authorities. I had symptoms of abuse like constant belt marks but was overlooked by authorities.

In the end, Daniel died. His mother and step father are the WORST SCUM of the earth. They are EVIL and need to be destroyed.

ALL abusers of children are EVIL and need to be DESTROYED.

They are not worth the rope to hang them with.

Aaaand the usual Aspie lynch mob™ has arrived...

So much for that whole detached and logical stereotype.

Not sure what you're saying, maybe it's an inside joke :?

I see these people starved and abused their kid and ended up killing him, shouldn't make much difference if he had AS or not. And they were found guilty after due trial.

Edit: Oh, I guess I'm an idiot, you're probably referring to the over the top punishments proposed here. It's a really nasty case to say the least, most people will have a strong emotional reaction to it.

It doesn't matter whether the poor thing was autistic or not, what his mum and step dad did to him was evil. I hope the prison officers accidentally leave their cell doors open.

I didn't read that anything that confirmed if the boy was autistic or not. It merely said that the parents used that as an excuse for his behavior, and I don't think I would trust people like that. I did read somewhere that severe trauma in children can cause them to seem autistic.

Well, still, no reason to starve a child.
