Is there anyone else here who has epilepsy? I was diagnosed as a 11-year-old, when I had my first seizure. The seizures originate from my left temporal lobe and most of them include jamais vu, partial impairment of conciousness (I feel like half of my brain is sleeping), many kinds of weird sensations that are difficult to describe and sometimes inability to move or speak. As far as I know, I've only had two generalized seizures. I've taken same medication (oxcarbazepine) for 20 years, and I'm still doing well with it, as long as I just remember to take it and get enough sleep (which is the hard part for me sometimes).
If you have epilepsy, I would like to hear (or read), how long you have had it, what kind of seizures you have and how you are doing.
