I agree with OliveOilMom. I'm not opposed to ONS at all. It's basically a GOOD thing especially for people like us who scare off most people and who are unpopular and can't just "get" a relationship.

Hello people,

I see that in our society a lot of people are really keen on one night stands. Casual sex with someone you barely met and are unlikely to repeat the sex, or are going to have sex with them like 3 nights at most and them stop seeing them.

As an aspie male, I don't understand what's the appeal of this.

1) For me, sex with someone you are involved with emotionally is at least an order of magnitude better. By just having sex with anonymous people, without emotions, how is this different from hiring a prostitute (putting aside the upfront cost, which, in many cases, the prostitute will be cheaper)?

2) What wouldn't I want to keep seeing someone that brings me (and I bring them) good times and good pleasure? Why for a lot of people "pump and dump" is better?

Can someone shed some light?

I don't mean to bring the discussion to a "puritan" POV, but to really understand the appeal of it, since for me there's none. (Unlike a long term relationship)

Well, your arguments are great, I mean they are very true, but on the other side, other people have another point of view about this. For somebody sex is something very intimate and should be done with someone special, for other people that is just one "need" like eating a food... I want to say that I respect your arguments, but on the other side I respect also people who think totally opposite, and the only answer I can give is: that is all matter of taste. When I was younger I thought like you are thinking ow, but after some years and expirience I changed my mind and now I am big fan of one night stands... Just my 2 cents bro... :)

An alternative to one night stands and the emotional attachment of a traditional relationship.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1256026/plo ... l#synopsis
Big Bang Theory. Howard hooks up with Leslie.

"Wait a minute; I'm not comfortable with this. It's like you're trying to control me with new equipment and research trips."

"Well, if I didn't control you with new equipment and research trips, then I'D be uncomfortable."

Finally, it comes out: Leslie wants to have a sexual relationship without any feelings or any of that crap. Howard is shocked.

They are of no point to me, though I can’t speak for other people.

I think opposite, but respect your opinion... :) Everybody needs to choose.
