I am considering pursuing training for a job as a paralegal. I have some background in criminal justice. I have a bachelors degree and work experience in criminal justice. So I know I can do the research and writing required.

But I am concerned about the social aspects of the job and the need to multitask and work on a deadline. I have executive functioning issues, which hinder me.

Are any of you lawyers or paralegals? Have you had success in your field? How do you cope?

Paralegal could be a good job. Becoming an actual lawyer is a ton of work. It requires many years of expensive post secondary, and it very competitive to get into. I would look into paralegal first, personally.

Many Aspies (or at least Aspie-like people) are paralegals.

It doesn't require too much socialization skills. You do lots of legal research and write briefs and such. You probably just have to have the basics (hello, goodbye, talking about the research). Always be friendly, though. Don't act like you want to be alone.
