Hello everyone!

I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 18 (now I am 21) and recently I have been challenging the diagnosis for two main reasons. First, I think that my social skills are two good for ASC, and second, I think that my profile can be explained by anxiety. Can someone help please? I am very confused

Hi there.

How is school coming along?

Probably, the only way you can "undo" a diagnosis is to have another assessment by a clinician.

Get a diagnosis by someone else.

Anxiety is a part of aspergers, but it's very possible you were misdiagnosed. It's also likely you could've adapted to "normal" neurotypical behavior, which could explain why you don't think you have aspergers.

It is also common for females to have "acceptable" social skills and autism, because men typically take the lead in many cultures.
