As far as I know stimulus checks are being given to tax payers, the same way they receive tax refunds. Either by a check in the mail or by direct deposit.

I'm tempted in making a joke here, but have refrained,
ATM.

Personal development?
Or humour fatigue?
Time will tell.

Non-working qualify too.

Non-tax paying qualify too.

Most of the unemployed are likely low wage service workers who don't pay any federal taxes.

Self-funded retirees get nothing, as per usual.

Retirees qualify too.

As long as you make less than $100,000 or a couple makes less than $150,000.

If people on SSI gets these checks too, they won’t get in trouble with the social security people? Do people need to submit something to the IRS to get money?

In order to get the full $1,200, a single, unmanned person must make $75,000 or under.

In order to get the full $2,400, plus $500 a child, a couple must make $150,000 or under if they file a joint return.

People who make between $75,001 and $99,000 get at least something if they are single.

Couples who make between $150,001 and $198,000 get something.

You can submit info as a non-taxpaper if you are on SSI. You get $1,200, I believe.

I retired at 50.
I'm not of pensioner age, yet.
Ergo, I have been skrewed for a very long time though missing out of these stimulus offerings.
Story of my life.

Maybe things will change, for the better for me, when I reach the official retirement age?
Something to look forward to, apart from kidney failure, strokes, heart attack, cancer, loss of limbs, dementia, etc, etc, etc.

Ssa isn’t counting this as income.
You should get it unless someone declared you on their taxes.

https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

Go here and click get my payment. You enter your info and it’ll tell you status of your stimulus money. Atleast that’s what iris says.

Internal Revenue Service.
They are in charge of taxes. It’s the agency in charge of sending out the stimulus money as they did the stimulus via tax law.

As usual with Trumpty Dumpty, it’s a g!ddamn scam! I have been trying for the last 3 days to enter my bank’s routing and account info on the IRS website. It keeps kicking me out with an error message, and asking me to try later. The error message that appears in small print at the bottom of the screen makes no sense at all.

What really pisses me off is Treasury already has my account information, since SSA deposits my disability check there every month. I know IRS already has that info, so why can’t they deposit the funds in the account I’ve already specified?

If it weren’t for the fact I still need to purchase living room furniture, as well as curtains, and pay off a couple of debt collectors from 5 years ago, let alone find a psychologist that would write me a script for a emotional support animal (preferably a basset hound or a bloodhound, except the County Housing Authority has weight restrictions, imposed by HUD on what kind a support animal I’m allowed to have (which, if I can afford the additional deposit and rent, Might end up being a Shetland sheepdog), I’d tell Trumpty Dumpty to stick his stimulus check up his f!cking fat orange ass!
