I bought a 6 pack of some kind of IPA in the USA today. Also a few huge cans of strong lager. They’re 25 fluid ounces, so just over 2 regular cans by volume, and 10% abv. So just over 4 regular cans of beer’s worth of alcohol in one can. Which means a single one of those would put me over the .05 driving limit and possibly even over the .08 criminal limit. 8O

Definitely will be drinking those when I know I’m not going to be driving for at least 5 hours. Probably sip one at the beach when I’m gonna be there for 5-6 hours kinda thing.

Crest Super and Faxe Extra Strong are both 10% and they're definitely either 'getting SFD' or 'extra slow sipping' beers. Sometimes both.

Not sure if those are sold here. Don’t recall seeing them or ever trying them, but they Might be sold alongside stuff like Wildcat and Ironhorse and the other strong inexpensive beers I never really look at or buy. Usually if I buy a very strong beer it’s maybe a mixer pack from Unibroue or however you spell the la fin du monde brewery.

Checked bcl’s website. They do sell faxe but the regular strong 8% version. Don’t see anything called crest super.

These 25 ounce 10%ers I bought, which shall be dubbed “double doubles,” from here on in (each one is more than 2 beers at twice the abv) were a whopping $1.99 USD each. That’s why I bought 3 of them. Probably the best possible deal on beer, even after the exchange rate.

On the Asda gin and diet tonic tonight. Hope Deephour's OK as he hasn't posted on here for weeks.

This is the pub. The place I can come and say I'm having beer. Yes?

If this is an AA meeting I can go elsewhere.

I would say it's the pub but with an AA meeting in a side room. Whatever floats your boat. :)

Apparently cirosis of the liver caused by excessive drinking is not easy to fix and you have to go into hospital a fair few times to treat it.

Some people have pointed out before that they are quite disconcerted that i have pale skin and black circles when only in my mid 30s. :?

Pale skin = you don’t get enough sunlight.

Dark circles under your eyes = good chance its from salicylate acid sensitivity considering you’re on the spectrum and 70% of autistics have that food acid sensitivity And one of the symptoms is dark circles under your eyes.
