Levin, -from Anna Karenina, ak i found too hard for sympathising all the way
AK and the society part, or maybe the caracter of Vronsky was not interesting for me
Levin more as a land-person, but unfortunately not as grounded as i assumed, more a land-owner than practical, imo

None.

For some weird reason, no one ever resonated with me.

Arthur Bryant, from the "Bryant and May" detective series. Not officially autistic. He's an eccentric elderly detective in a specialist police unit. His entire life is lived in a state of shambling chaos, with biology experiments, obscure books, misplaced evidence and general debirs strewn all over both his home and his half of the office. His social skills are abysmal, except when dealing with people even more eccentric than himself.

He has a deep and obsessive knowledge of occult symbolism and the minutia of London' history, among other things, but doesn't understand pretty much anything to do with living in the modern world. His job is to approach difficult cases from a unique perspective. He chases down seemingly irrelevant leads and nonsensical ideas until they feed back into the more straightforward investigation by his partner May.

I relate a LOT more to Bryant than I do to stereotypical neat, precise and rational Aspie characters.

I'm also a fan of Abed Nadir from "Community," and Data from "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Caleb from the show "Big Mouth" is very amusing.

The actor Christopher Lloyd has played a couple of characters from out in left field to which I can relate: Dr. Emmett Brown from the "Back to the Future" movies is awesome for being highly technical and intelligent, but still lacking in social graces. The Reverend Jim "Iggy" Ignatowski[/url] from "Taxi" was hilarious to me as a character.

About Jim from "Taxi," he came more off as a recovering schizophrenic; I'd always thought of him that way, the resident schizophrenic. The real autistic one on that show was Latka Gravas ! ! Through-and-through! The gait, the voice, the social awkwardness, the overall oddness no matter what the scene, works away from people as a mechanic.

This is a slightly obscure one, but Toft from the Moomin chapter books reminds me of myself when I was growing up. He doesn't relate to the other characters, he obsesses over books, and he feels so fundamentally different from others that he starts to worry that he must be somehow dangerous to them.
I relate to Rainman

Did you enjoy reading Anna Karenina? I respect you to no end if you did. I found it excruciating.
