I just don't even understand.

I would assume that he wasn't into me AND was an as*hole, but he messaged my friend and said that I was a "really lovely" and "really interesting" person, and he did want another date...when it was convenient for him.

The problem is that it's very difficult to talk about Borges essays when one has only had 3 or 4 hours sleep the night before, I read them in Spanish, and it had been over a year since the last reading.

It was okay, though. We thoroughly discussed the issues with his dysfunctional family, his job situation, and his recent illness. We talked for 4-5 hours straight.

I really just don't get this guy...at all. There was a lot of mixed signals. Maybe he is single for a reason.

He also talked about his previous relationship. It wasn't a great relationship, which is why they split up, but it was not abusive or anything. Yes, he was the victim with that situation...and the others. He's had it so, so rough. Poor guy.
